What are you in the market for?

The main shopping streets are the restored Ulica Chmielna, upscale Nowy Swiat (pictured: right), Marszalkowska Street and Jerozolimskie Avenue. Many shops tend to open and close later than in Western European countries. Shops are generally open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. With-in the past five years, several shopping centers and stores of all the major European chains have opened in Warsaw. The Palace of Culture and Science also has a wide range of shops and shopping centers located inside.

Europe's largest flea market, located in the Dziesieciolecia Stadium in the Praga district, has just about everything, new or used, for sale. What ever your in the market for your sure to find it here. The market can get very crowded, so watch your valuables. The market opens about 6:00 a.m. daily and begins to wind down around noon.

The Promenada Shopping Centre The Promenada Shopping Centre is a contemporary shopping experience. Located in the southern part of Praga, it houses many world known “brand name” department stores. Only a few years old, it shimmers with elegance and dazzles with high tech features.
