Warsaw is rich in culture- and has its roots deep in history, and until now, has been the hidden jewel of European tourism. With the fall of communism in November 1989, Warsaw has been growing at a fast and steady pace. With its newly found rejuvenation, Warsaw has attracted the attention of major investors and large companies locally as well as abroad. Some of the new companies include: Coca-Cola, Daewoo, General Motors, Nestlé, Pepsico International, Philip Morris, Procter & Gamble, Westinghouse, Citibank, Pfizer, Pizza Hut, Dunkin Donuts, McDonalds, KFC, as well as many financial and investment companies.

Warsaw has many modes of transportation. The Metro Subway Line, which was built in 1995, runs from Ratusz to Kabaty. The entire line is about 14 kilometers
(8 miles) long with future plans to add more track. It travels at a speed of about
90 kilometers (60 mph) an hour and runs every 4 minutes. One quarter million passengers use the Metro Subway each day. Buses and trams are also available.
